i got a package yesterday of my holy grail figure!

back when i first met cloud, my first experience of him where i fully fell in love was the original 1997 version of him. Most merch and fanart that i particularly enjoy of him continues to stay the 1997 version, however i also very much enjoy his portrayal in advent children... off topic. Anyway, most figures are of his remake design, which isnt bad or anything but definitely not my favorite. However the kotobukiya figure released in 2001 was perfectly what i envisioned when i think of cloud, and had remained a holy grail of mine for about as long as i have loved cloud.

so when i saw him selling for $80, i knew i had to jump and finally buy him!

i was so excited when i finally got him. hes just as perfect as i thought!

the figure had two different versions, one released without brown highlights and one with the brown highlights. i prefer the version with the brown highlights, so im glad i got it!

otherwise, i have been active in my search for more merch for my shrine... hopefully its more filled soon! my next grail is probably his old plushie from 1997 by banpresto, or the bring arts figure of him.
